Suarez Fence & Construction is a family‑owned construction company built on hard work, trust, and a commitment to quality that has grown alongside the Chicagoland communities we serve. What started as a small subcontracting operation has evolved into a full‑service fencing, decking, and outdoor construction business that homeowners, contractors, and commercial clients rely on every day.

The foundation of the company was laid by Juan Carlos Suarez Sr., who began his career as a subcontractor in the construction industry. Seeing the need for a dependable, professional fencing partner, he formed Suarez Fence & Construction. From the very beginning, growth came through word‑of‑mouth: satisfied clients referred friends, contractors brought us back for more projects, and our reputation for on‑time work and durable materials began to spread.

Over time, the business expanded beyond basic fencing to include decks, porches, hardscapes, metalwork, temporary job‑site barriers, and other outdoor construction services. In the early 2020s, the pandemic shifted how people used their homes, and many families wanted to feel safe and secure in their own yards. Clients began asking, “I want a fence tomorrow,” investing in private backyards where they could spend time with loved ones. That period reinforced Suarez Fence & Construction’s role as a trusted partner for fast, reliable, and quality‑driven outdoor projects.

Several members of the next Suarez generation have stepped into key roles as the company has grown. A family member who once worked on site has become a Project Manager, overseeing jobs from start to finish and bringing an installer’s mindset to scheduling and coordination.
The three Siblings handle sales and client communication, ensuring that estimates, timelines, and expectations are clear from the first call. Behind the scenes, the office team manages invoicing, accounting, and project support, turning informal family help into a structured back‑office operation that keeps every job running smoothly.

The roots of that structure go back to the beginning. Juan Carlos Sr.’s wife, who studied to be a secretary in Mexico, brought her bookkeeping skills into the business, keeping financial records by hand and helping organize the company’s early growth. Her behind‑the‑scenes work set the stage for today’s more formalized accounting and operations.

Today, leadership remains hands‑on. Luis Meneses still steps onto job sites, helping installers carry materials and supporting the team in the field, which reflects the company’s culture of “working smarter, not harder” and no‑job‑too‑small leadership. As the team has grown, roles have become clearer—installers, project managers, sales staff, and office support—while the values stay the same: family, reliability, and craftsmanship.
